  2. Boston GM Peter Chiarelli isn’t interested in moving prospect Malcolm Subban.
The Bruins selected him in the first round, 24th overall, in the 2012 draft and his name has come up as a possible trade piece in rumored trades involving Calgary’s Jarome Iginla. “I can tell you this: I’m not trading Malcolm Subban,” Chiarelli told 98.5 The Sports Hub. “He’s young. He’s a very good goalie prospect and I see him in our future and being a big part of our future. We’ve got some goalie depth, but I’m telling you I’m not trading Malcolm Subban. There are other players, and we’ve got a fairly well-stocked cupboard of prospects, but I’m not trading Malcolm Subban.”

love that pic……classic and so true!!!! well done

    • so i don’t think he’s trading subban…..lol….honestly i don’t know what calgary is thinking here…..iggy 35 and they need to act now if they need a rebuild….from what i here the gm is interested but there board is stuck and not sure……typical flames management…..better shit before we get off the pot hmmmm???

      • What if Chia is just saying Subban is off limits to do some jockying? Maybe he is trying to counter the high price the Pens created? Chia is smarter than this and also said that he wouldn’t draft Subban in the first round and then did. Not sure whats up but this deadline is very exciting hopefully with a big prize because if we end up with Whitney and Hemsky Im goona hurt someone real bad.

  3. i believe him with subban. but i wouldnt mind whitney, iggy and glencross joing us…….if that would happen my god we are solid!!!! chia nad i qoute “we are solid in goal but we are still not trading subban” like i said before these teams at the deadline rarely trade the farm……and not for a 35 year old….all reports are saying whitney is close!!!

  4. don’t discard whitney, he has a tonne of potential he’s huge and would solidify our D……WHY IS KRUG CALLED up???? hometown boy and would really help our d!!!!

  5. hamilton/chara
    whitney/seidenberg
    ference/boychuk
    mquaid 7th man….

    that defense is cup ready!!!!

    lucic/krejci/iggy
    marchy/bergy/segs
    gelncross/pevs/horts
    4th line regs

    wow

  6. with those four lines “ALL” playing to their potential we have to be favourites…….look at the depth at every forward position!!!!! really….really!!!! my god!!!

  7. our hated rivals….fk i hate the habs….pumped and beers flowing, friday flying to florida!!!!! great time to be a b’s fan!!!

  8. Luciccrew and I are flying to Beantown on April 17 to watch the sens and Pens. 2nd time their, Cant wait! Go B’sss!!

    • Hey Wopps, you boys are out of Toronto right? Can you let me know flight prices and ticket prices? It’d be a blast to catch my first garden game with some fellow canuck B’s fans

  9. kevin dupont from the globe mentioned st louis as a better choice then iggy…..? hmm i wouldnt mind that whatsoever……pp help creative ability and a improved recchi!!!!!ya i like it…..wops let me know the hotel the location to rin and the prices for flight and stay!!!! thanks bro!!!

  10. ya ian henry that’s the speculation on krug!!!! showcase….all i here on tsn is whirlwind of trade rumors surrounding our beloved B’s….exciting

  11. I got an inkling that the Iginla trade will happen late tonight or sometime tomorrow at the latest. Krug is only for show – no other reason. Iggy to play his last game as a Flame tonight.

  12. Bob McKenzie reports that rumors today in BOS were Jordan Caron and Matt Bartkowski were perhaps on way out. Caron is in tonight, Bartkowski scratched, Krug called up. Then BOS prospect Alex Khokhlachev is a healthy scratch for Providence tonight and CGY announces Iginla is also healthy scratch tonight.

It’ll soon B time to get Iggy with it!!

  13. Jim Matheson is reporting that the Kings will bend and include Bernier in a deal for Iginla. They’d then go calling on the Oilers for Khabibulin to back up Quick. Perhaps the move by the Flames to hold back Iginla is a leverage move to ante up the stakes. I think not though, I have a good feeling about this, something good is definitely bruin after the game.

  14. Bob McKenzie states that defenceman Matt Bartkowski, prospect Alexander Khokhlachev, and a first-round draft pick could be headed to Calgary in return.

  15. Way to go Bruins! Whats that number 8! Nobody better at blowing leads than us!
Stanley cup champs? Ha ha ha
Iginla or no iginla, This team sucks balls at holding leads! Lucky if we pass first round! Fuckin losers!
    Goodnight!

  16. Apparently, Feaster and the Flames preferred the Bruins offer and would have traded Iginla to the Bruins – but Iginla wanted to go to the Pens. Can’t blame Chia for not trying – it was a fair offer.

Well, where to now? Clowe? I think not – he is playing injured and has been all season. Will not contribute in any meaningful way this year.

The only other asset that can make a significant impact is St. Louis and I cannot even imagine what it would take to pry him out of Tampa. Perhaps Chia has something else up his sleeve we have never rumoured. I highly doubt it however and think that we are basically done.

The Pens are waiting to be anointed Stanley Cup champs. I would love for the B’s to meet them in the playoffs. Barring that and the B’s winning the Cup, I would take the Pens winning the Cup any day rather than the Habs. No team irritates and frustrates me more than them with the whining, complaining, bitching and of course, the obligatory penalty that goes against you when you are ahead late in the game.

    • U blame iginla? I wouldn’t wanna go to a team that blows leads like its gong out of style. He’s knows this team is “iffy”

  17. Add Stamkos, Kovalchuck and Getzlaf to the Penguins and it still would not garanted the cup to them. Hockey games are won on the ice.

Let’s not lose faith on the B’s…yes they are not playing goood right now but they will find their groove and their pride back. They proves us they can score….but on defense we are thin, that’s where Chia needs to look:

    -Keith Yandle (long shot here)
-A physical number 4 defensemen (let’ surprise us PC)

As for St-Louis, it would be cool but we need to address the defense because I’m not thrilled at all at the possibility to see Johnson and Trugs in the playoffs.

Last positive words: it’s the same team who let the Flyers comeback from 0-3 in 2010 who won the cup in 2011. Let’s win when it count go B’s, Hope to get the Habs and Pens in playoff and kick some butt! Come on!

  18. Unreal. Peter couldn’t pull the trigger yet again. Fucked up getting Marian Hossa, fucked up getting Ilya Kovalchuk, managed to get the plug Kaberle, and now fucked up getting Iginla. How come he is to cheap to get a big name player? In our dreams he will get Bobby Ryan or Tomas Vanek. Ryan Clowe wouldn’t help the team at all. They need SCORING not yet another ” physical forward” if you do want a physical forward at least get one who actually HITS.

  19. What a brutal night. Another 3rd period collapse to the fuckin Habs. I thought Tuukka played a decent game. Can’t blame him for those goals. The silver lining in the loss was the hope that I would wake up to see Iggy coming over. We can’t chalk this up as ‘Chia not pulling the trigger’ He had the best deal on the table and it was Iggy who chose Pitts. Lets hope we can use this as motivation against them in the ECF. But lets be real. Can anyone really stop the Pens after these deals? I say we go after someone for the 3rd line and a Dman. I’m not looking to sell the farm for a St. Louis or Jagr knowing we have Pitts to look forward to. Let’s hop we can address these late collapses and start streaking for the playoffs.
    Fuck Iggy
    Go B’sssssssssssssss

  20. In hindsight maybe not getting igwana is better – loosing three guys for a body who will play 25 games for you this year. Pitts sure looks stacked but it doesnt mean they will get far – look at the Rags – tons of talent but cant win shit. Watching Pitts having to go through likely the rangers and ottawa will not be easy – by then Cindy – and Malkin will be hurt and the rest of the team falls apart – they still dont have a goalie and defence worth a crap. If this cant motivate the bruins this year nothing can – In reality there is nothing Igwana can do that Horton cant – if he does decide to wake up this year. I still think the bruins can go all the way – hopefully they are waiting for the playoffs to play to a level they are capable.

    • Listen, If Chiarelli doesnt get a top 6 forward and another D-man were fucked. Plain and simple! Iginla would have been amazing and we would have been automatically favorite’s for the cup, But the bitch chose Pittsburgh. The good news is after losing out on Morrow and Iggy, Chiarelli looks determined to get some firepower at the deadline which he never really was in the past. Lots of other options including players with existing contracts that I believe Chiarelli will bring aboard. So we will just have to wait and see in the next couple of days. And for all the Pens lovers out their if u go position by position they still arnt unbeatable. Compared to us, Their forwards obviously smoke us, But defence, Size, toughness and goaltending we win.Their PP smokes ours but are PK and faceoff success smokes them. So u do the math people.

  21. If we could pick up someone to get our power play off of life support we would be alright. Might also need another D man if our injuries continue.
